Mysterious ‘Beatles’ set for chart glory

September 23, 2009

An exciting new band known as ‘The Beatles’ looks set to take iTunes by storm. The band, hotly tipped by industry insiders, have been working on their material for decades – so long in fact, that two members have died before any of it saw the light of day. A spokesperson explains:

‘The band are perfectionists, and didn’t want to release anything until it was absolutely perfect. Many of the songs were recorded in analogue in the 60s, and have been digitally remastered many times since. It’s a filtering process that the band feels has allowed their audience to evolve with them, without even knowing it.’

At least 12 albums and 22 singles are planned for release before Christmas. Experts from the London’s ‘Tin Pan Alley’ predict the deaths of band members John Lennon and George Harrison will give the mop-topped Liverpool twosome an irresistibly tragic edge. One wag, riffing on the band’s song titles, quipped: ‘Music lovers just won’t be able to Let It Be.’
